Bacon Sausage Brussels Sprouts
Servings: 6 – 8
2 lbs. Brussels sprouts, sliced in half
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 links, Big Fork Bacon Sausage, fully cooked, quartered length wise, then sliced thin
6 – 8 cloves garlic, smashed
½ orange, zested and juiced
½ teaspoon kosher salt
- Blanch the Brussels sprouts in boiling water for five minutes. Drain and let cool.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat with the oil. Add the bacon sausage and cook until the sausage begins to brown. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute on medium heat.
- Add the Brussels sprouts and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest, orange juice and salt. Serve warm.
